I was wondering about what happened to sporting movies. Sporting movies in the 1980s, 90s and 2000s were very prominent and popular among the United States and the world at times. The movies encompassed many sports like football, basketball, baseball, hockey, volleyball, cheerleading, soccer and even NASCAR. Today, sport movies have become an afterthought in society with the rise of social media and sporting shows plus podcast shows including former players and analysts.
