Super Smash Bros. Brawl: SubSpace Emissary was Unique!

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is known for many things in the fighting game series. The new moves, characters, stages, music, gallery items and new gaming system.

All of those are great features added to game, but there is one feature I enjoyed about Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The story adventure event of the game called SubSpace Emissary!

When I played adventure mode for the first time, I really enjoyed it! The interaction between all the characters from the first two games in the series was really awesome! It took the route of showing and not telling with hardly any dialogue with action cutscenes moving the story forward.

The only anything I didn't like about it was the small dialogue between characters and at times had no story explanation. It reminds me of the sonic classic games 1,2, CD and 3& Knuckles with storytelling being all cutscenes with no dialogue and builds up a little bit through the game. I also did not like how certain characters had no chance to interact with each other or even acknowledge them in SubSpace Emissary. I understand story the was made back in 2006/2007 and it is a fighting game, but having some dialogue from a narrator or bonus side stories would of been great.

I wanted to talk about this, since no really mentions it today at all or even asked about what a story could be told with a collection of characters from multiple properties and franchises. I definitely think a great story can work with most of the characters, it depends on how someone or a team of people convey it in cohesive and creative way.

Overall, those are my thoughts on the Adventure Mode: Subspace Emissary from Super Smash Bros Brawl. I enjoyed writing this blog post and thanks for reading!

What are your ideas of a Subspace Emissary storyline or movie plot?

Do you think they could have of done another Subspace Emissary in the current Super Smash Bros Series?

Thanks and have a great day everyone!
