Could a Dragonball Z Kai Movie Actually Work?

The other day I was watching a Dragon Ball Z Kai video about what was censored from the TV broadcast version and uncut DVD version. It was very interesting to see the difference between both versions when it comes to edits and delivery of words. After watching the video, it got thinking, could there be a Dragon Ball Z Kai movie? Yes, an actually Dragon Ball Z movie with Kai edits, music and updated line voices with extra features in the story. I think this would of been a great idea to make a remastered version of the Dragon Ball Z movies.

Now, I am aware there are 13 DBZ movies and it would of took the animation studio a very long and busy time to remaster/remade those into a Kai version for airing on broadcast TV and even on DVD formats. It would even be harder to release the DBZ Kai movie remaster in theaters because the original version did not exist in theaters when it was released and the movies have been out for a very long time. The best way that the animation studio would have released the Kai films is through an anime streaming service to see how it does before releasing it on DVD sets. I say this because streaming is less risky for the animation studio and anybody can watch it at anytime its available. Let's say they do a theatrical release worldwide, I would say the animation studio can do a survey poll of what movies the audience wants to see and create the top 3 films from the poll results. I say three films because it is very expensive now to create films than it was in the 1980s, second it would be good for the studio to create a plan for them and the audience can follow along on the development for their favorite film.

For me, the three Dragon Ball Z films I like the most is Dead Zone, Bojack Unbound and Fusion Reborn!!! Each movie is special in it's own right and can easily fit into the Dragon Ball Z timeline with no problems and would be a great addition. One thing I would add about the hypothetical DBZ Kai movies is to expand the story and certain scenes to give it more context and screentime to flush out the narrative. Example, for Fusion Reborn, before the villains go to Earth, have they attack Other World first and its fighters before going to Earth. Another part is to extend the Jamaba and Gogeta fight into an actually fight for five minutes before it ends and the day is saved.

Overall, these are my thoughts and opinions on it. It would be cool to see a fan made Dragon Ball Z Kai movie with the music and remastered animation. I would definitely share that and retweet it haha. Well, reader what do you think? Do you think a Dragon Ball Z Kai movie could work and how do you want it presented? Or do you think the original Dragon Ball Z movies are fine the way they are? Let me know on Twitter.
